Honeymoon Details - The 1st few days in Fairmont

Thought I'd try posting a few more pics from the 1st leg of our honeymoon 4 ur viewing pleasure! Definitely a great start to our marriage!
The drive from Lethbridge to Fairmont Hot Springs was beautiful!

We stayed a quaint little bed & breakfast and upon our host's suggestion we spent our first day exploring and hiking through some very interesting "hoodoo" rock formations!

The weather & scenery were perfect. Not too hot & not too cold!

Our 1st Post

So this is the first post as Mr. and Mrs. Craig & Suzanne DeGroot. Our wedding day was a ton of fun- surrounded by all our favorite people, and then we spent a week driving from Lethbridge to Chilliwack. We spent a couple days exploring the hot springs around Fairmont, (including one cold, unprepared night of tenting at Whiteswan Provincial Park) and then a night at Canmore, followed by treehouse antics in Salmon Arm and then lake-time in Sorrento. Although I've visited my parents cabin in Sorrento many times, I've always wondered what that island in the middle of the lake is like, and I've never actually explored it. So on Sunday, after church, Suzanne and I kayaked the hour and a half from the cabin to Copper Island in the Shushwap Lake. Once there, we ventured the 15 minute trek to the summit, and had an amazing view of the whole valley. The kayak back was not quite as relaxing, as the lactic acid from thr first hour and a half was starting to set in. I'm very glad thad I finally got to explore that island, and even more glad that I got to experience it with my beautiful new wife.
